I have overlooked the signature contest, and noticed that there are people that have 1-10 posts that have entered. I'm not calling anyone out but could it be possible that people are leeching? I hope they don't result to that.

I believe he is talking about the intentions of said people (people simply entering the contest for a chance to leech the prize) who have no interest in staying here at VB. Just what I got from it.

I am going to be honest with you.
They are just going to take the money and run. They don't care about "us", the forum community.

Yeah, I just think its not right. Some of the members posted their signatures and have not been active since  then. I can bet some people will be leeching. I'm releasing mine tomorrow. I have been working on a java game for the past 4 weeks. Its turned out to be nice. Its still in the beta stage. I'll release more information when it becomes public.

as Urusai said, the idea behind the contest is to get more people come here and just hope that they will be staying here. If they come here for the prize and then leave, we cannot do much about it. Obviously, if the we suspect abuse then we simply going to change our rules for future contests.

Exactly, it should be something like, "Must have over 100 'non-spam' related posts"  that would stop them.

well rain maybe u can help us organize the next contest when it happens since this time just me and wirenet were putting it together and we found some judges and prizes and rules...we could use some more help the next time for sure!

Well we should have a sort of time limit, if they win the contest yet they do not appear to say "I shall claim dis pwize", the prize gets handed down to the person who came 2nd, if they don't claim it within the time limit too, it'll get handed down to the next and so on.

I suggest a 24hr time limit, if they intend on staying, they'll appear, if not, they won't get the prize.

ya, im not very active on these forums but i saw the banner on vid bleach so i registered and entered, you can tell that i made them becuase i always have Metzger Pictures in the bottom right corner. i usually use a special font for it but i dont think i used them on the ones i entered
