I have to say captains are my favorite thing in bleach. They are probably the only reason why I am still into bleach. It rubs me the wrong the fact that they going a bit DBZ on us and keep increasing the power levels leaving the captains behind. As far as I understand manga is still in their Aizen arc so Bleach can still come back around from becoming stale. So here I will give them rankings by strength and indicate which ones are my fav. Since everyone interprets what they see in their own way, feel free to drop in your ratings for them. Gotei 13 Yamamoto (1) Sōsuke Aizen (5)Kenpachi Zaraki (10, absolute fav) Shunsui Kyōraku (8 ) Byakuya Kuchiki (6) Soifon (2, fav) Gin Ichimaru (3)Kaname Tōsen (9)Mayuri Kurotsuchi (12, fav) Jūshirō Ukitake (13) Sajin Komamura (7) Retsu Unohana (4) Tōshirō Hitsugaya (10) Now the way I see it is that all of them are in the same league. Meaning theoretically a fight between captains can go either way (Yes this means I admit that Kenpachi can loose  ). We also know very little about them to rank them by anything but the impression we get. |

I like your Tosen rating. This guy is just so random for me. I loved when he cut off Grimjaw's arm. I also thought he was bad ass when he started the fight with Kenpach. Then it quickly became apparent that he is a moron. Talking to him self, wasting time. He looked like a bad ass character but soon degenerated into more of a light weight.

Tousen...true, Ichimaru, Aizen these guys were prolly already strong and just didnt show off? ? If they were strong they wouldn't need to run to hollow world to seek more power. This means even though they are strong there are characters that could beat them. Now with anime going DBZ on us it will take a while before we see them in action again. |

They are just making sure that they are the strongest. I would do the same thing, think of it as a game.

Doesn't Aizen say that the power of his zanpaktou cannot be defeated even when you know you are under the influence? therefore aizen is the best, as he can, technically, beat Yamamato
Hitsugaya is still my favourite tho, especially the whole water-present-revival thing
