HOW-TO embed youtube or flash video

I thought you were aware of how to embed youtube or any other flash video in your post but hey it is very simple, here is how:

copy the embed code from the youtube video page and paste it somewhere else and copy the video url only (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/v/IPkagfXC69U)

then click on insert Flash button and insert the video URL. You may want to change the default 200,200 (width,height) size to any other value.

and that's it

or as he put it in the ideas thread, u can just get the url from the website(not from the address bar there is a seperate one if u click more in the description)

it might look like this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=q-axYSQPg3k

but change the "v=" into "v/"

and delete the watch?

Oh really? I don't really look at those icons when making posts. So if it's other than youtube, what are the dimensions?

Chaos_Blade, any dimensions you want, just replace 200,200 with your custom dimensions

well wraith...i checked the link u had...the one with the watch? in it and stuff...and it said this URL contained a malformed video ID...so it could be that u got the URL wrong in the first place...

idk...try finding the video again and going to the "url" box that it has under "(more)" and use that...but change it like wirenet explained it

yay got it working, did it on a video i made for stepmania, just made it today. its called Midnight Dragon. hardest one yet next to cry of the brave.
