First sprite sigs

Actually they were done for a challenge. These were the only ones I thought were decent. I had to pick just one so I used the second. Nothing major on the line. I just wanted to see if I could do them. They are obviously very different from my normal style.

I think that they both look really nice! The only thing that I noticed right away was that the first one has a big blank black spot...

Yeah.. I've never much cared for these... but I get asked for them so much. I figured it wouldn't hurt to learn them. I did a lot of research and noticed a lot of sprite tag makers tend to float the focus and have a lot of negative space like that first one. I don't much care for it... I like the second one. But I didn't use a proper "sprite" but just a pic taken down to very small. But I was told it was ok and counted as a sprite.

There must be some technique I'm missing about the negative space concept. I'll make a few more and see if I work it out. Any character suggestion?

Well I always like seeing Gin, but he is a little hard to find. Rukia would be cool

And I don't know why, but my eyes keep getting drawn to that black spot...not the other stuff like they'e supposed to...I don't understand the blank space idea either...

You are right.. finding a Ichimaru pic is not easy. Hows this one. I used your name just because. You are welcome to the sig if you want it. I'll do a Rukia too. I tried to keep the idea of negative space... but not as much.
