no...c when ryuk dropped it, light found it and used it and ryuk had fun watching him go crazy with power.
but from the beginning he planned to kill light eventually with his own hand in his own death note...
at the end he somehow got the real death note back and wrote light's name down

Death Note was so awesome it wasn't very long unfortanately and the end sucked so freakin bad(i watched it in the subs on animethat.com, the site is packed with so many animes and i found Death Note before the first dubbed ep even came out)

I liked the twisted ending in Death Note. I thought it was well develop and culminated in the punishment of the god like punisher.
