Well, in my opinion it went by far too quickly.

Though some of the fights were predictable, and some fights were between some unknown characters

The least expected was that lady Espada (seriously forgot her name) against Hitsugaya

Most awesome was Stark VS Kyouraku

i think hitsuguya is in waaaay over his head. he should leave haribel (the lady espada) to utitake, unless utitake and kyouraku are going to both take on stark. i guess its just me, but i've always had the impression hitsuguya is one of the weaker captians. but we'll see. i hope we see some fighting next episode, not more dialouge

I enjoyed the dialogue. It established who is fighting who. I wonder who is gonna lose?

I can't wait for some fighting action.
But first, a little more talking would be nice, as to expose the top 3 Espada's true numbers.

You think it might switch between all the fights including Ichigo and Uli?
Or have the fights nearly finish then show Ichigo and Uli fighting?

I agree that Hitsuguya is over his head he lost to luppi who was nember 7 espada when Grimjow had lost an arm
It not for Urahara'sLtimly arival and distartion he created
Hitsuguya would not have had time to use his best attack, witch only wounded Luppi, did not even kill him

OH how cool it would have been to see Ikkakus banki against Luppi
Luppi would have lost a tentical or two before he even knew what was happening

They often reveal their numbers midway through battles, sometimes at the beginning if they're a cocky little bastard

Hitsugaya had a power limiter in that battle. and he got caught off guard

This is dragging on way longer than I thought it would. I think Ikkaku is gonna get seriously nailed for hiding his power... even though Komamura is implying he heard nothing.

Anyhoo. I honestly didn't think Kubo would face off Hitsu and Halibel. Just not the match up I thought of. I look forward to seeing how that turns out. And I'm thinking the Stark and Shunsui. I kinda hope that ends with both still standing. I kinda think Stark is "bad" really... just following orders.

At least it isn't boring.

No he matched up people who matched each other in attitude or ones that conflicted in attitude.

Shunsui = Over-carefree, with a bit of caring for the girls

Stark = Shikamaru

In other words, one doesn't care, the other one complains. So it's conflicting, but somewhat similar.

Also, what happened with Kira and Hisagi

Kira = He hates battle, war and all that. Negative views on battle
His opponent was someone with positive views on battle.

Hisagi = He fears his weapon, because if you don't fear your weapon, you're not worthy of it
His opponent was someone who loved their weapon, rather than fear it.

So yea, they're all conflicting views. Except that Komamura and the giant Arrancar were doing nothing but a battle of size. "I have the bigger sword!".

Yea, the serious and quiet side, they're also kind of the odd ones out of the groups

Halibabel = Only lady Espada

Hitsugaya = Only child Captain

Hmm, id give Halibel an incomplete on the personality factor too. Compared to the dialogue  stark and barragain have done so far, Hali isnt nearly as filled out as those 2. When she was talking to her fraccions during the ichi/grimmjow fight, she came across as the informative/analytical type, claiming it was intriguing a human's reatsui could feel so close to a espadas.
