I'm torn because he seems like a good captain trying to really unite all 13 squads but I don't think he can stay because he's not in the main story line. I'm guessing he'll get wacked fighting Kifune and others dealing with the noble family.

u noe sumtimes fillers are used 2 add new charecters like now in this filler the modified souls said thier waiting for thier new gigais so they mite have a part in the war....maybe amagai will stay aswell in the captain seat...but then [possible spoiler] he hasnt shown up in the manga so its still in the air
