It appears I'm in the minority, but I like the dubs better than the subs. The English dubs done by VIZ have done a good job sticking to the dialogue that was written in the manga. UrusaiBaka said he liked the subs because it allowed him to focus on the animation, but that makes no sense to me, if you're busy reading the subtitles how can you focus on the animation? With the dub you can focus on the animation since you don't get pulled into reading the writing on the screen. I've found the voice actors (from what I can recall) do a good job of matching the characters behavior with the dialogue, and the scenes taking place. The first time I heard the dubbed Kenpachi I thought that voice sounds familiar (being the same voice actor that did Piccolo in the English dub of DBZ), so I started drawing parallels between the characters. I watch both the Viz Bleach dubs, and the subs that are added here each week. I don't think either are deserving of being bashed.

I support Viz's Bleach dubs.

well i was saying that the dubs r in danger of being cancelled or the ppl that do the dubs go very slow cuz it isnt as pop. also the dubs r very far behind and they might stop making dubs b4 they get past the bount season even...and that would leave the viewers hanging, which is what i meant...

yeah it takes FOREVER to get eps here in the U.S.(thats why i found subs )
i dont think the bleach voice actors didn't do a bad job(well not good but not horrible either id give them a 3.5/10)but id rather watch it subbed because

1.the voices are definitely better

2.im used to the voices now(english voices get weird after u watch subs awhile)

3.i got impatient with waiting(as ive said above)

4.nothing is cut(in Naruto when Konohamaru met Tsunade he bumped into her breasts and he started rubbing his face in them[ "Oh, they're so soft...what are they" rub rub ] but it didn't show in the dubs it was funny)

Subs generally are the way to go, but it has been that way in film forever. "Brotherhood of the Wolf"
being my best example for my argument. (for anyone into other foreign films) The english translation sounded horrible. I watch Subs for any foreign work, the original actors seem more in tune with th e characters. Especially when i Spanish, Italian, French, or Japanese. The languages are too fluid to be emoted properly through English.

But some Dubs have been done well over the years, and Dattebayo has negated the need to watch dubs for anyone on the inter-web.
