The Kurosaki Family

Kurosaki Ichigo (黒崎 一護)

As the wife of Isshin MasakiIchigo, the main character of the story is a 15-year-old boy who has natural orange hair which annoys most upperclassmen. They in term targets him for fights regularly. However, he seems to enjoy fighting the bullies most of the time. As a everyday kid he posses a special ability to see ghosts. However all of his life will change when he is attacked by a hollow. During this battle, he was on the loosing end and decides to save his family by putting the zanpakutou (sword) of Kuchiki Rukia a Shinigami onto himself. This then turns him into a Shinigami which will change the life of his friends as well as his forever. The story starts here…

Kurosaki Isshin (黒崎 一心)

He is the father of the Kurosaki household. Isshin appears outwardly as one crazy dad, but deep inside he’s a caring father who had to raise three kids on his own for six years. He runs a clinic in the Karakura Town at his home. He has an origin with Shinigamis and had unrevealed ties with the Soul Society.

Kurosaki Masaki (黒崎 真咲)

As the wife of Isshin Masaki, she is the mother of Ichigo, Karin, and Yuzu. She was killed by Grand Fisher on 6/17. As a result of her death, the lives of the rest of the Kurosaki family have changed. Yuzu tends to the housework, Karin acts tough, and Ichigo is always tense.

Karin Kurosaki (黒崎 夏梨)

She is the younger sister of Ichigo and the twin of Yuzu. She is sarcastic and cynical. Similar to Ichigo, she has the ability to see ghosts as well. As an authoritative tomboy, she enjoys playing soccer.

Yuzu Kurosaki (黒崎 遊子)

She is the twin of Karin and Ichigo’s younger sister. Yuzu is compassionate and more feminine in comparison to her twin Karin. She tends to do most of the housework and enjoys playing with Kon by dressing him up. However, Kon on the other hand hates it.

Ichigo’s Karakura High School friends

Ishida Uryu (石田 雨竜)

Ishida is one of the main companion of Ichigo. As the last Quincy who in its origin was made up to exterminate hollows with bows, he has a strong sense of justice similar to Ichigo. He is usually quiet and shy but surprisingly highly skilled with sewing equipments. He dislikes Shinigami because they were late to save his grandfather during a fight with hollows.

Orihime Inoue (井上 織姫)

As another main companion of Ichigo, she is best friends with Arisawa Tatsuki. In comparison with other characters, she is probably the most compassionate character of the Bleach series.
Orihime is free spirited, enjoys eating interesting mixtures of food, and likes to daydream. She uses her hair pin as a source of both healing and attacking power and has a crush on Ichigo.

Sado Yasutora (茶渡 泰虎)

As another main companion with Ichigo, Chado (Sado’s nickname) is of Mexican decent. After the death of his parents, he was rasied by what he refers as “abuelo” or grandfather. As one of the tallest friend of Ichigo, due to his quiet and friendly personality he is often picked on. His main source of power comes from his arm. He has trained viciously with Renji to become a major help for Ichigo in his fight with Arrancars.

Asano Keigo (浅野 啓吾)

Keigo is a friend of Ichigo. He is seen hanging around Kojima Mizuiro a lot. He is known as the class clown and jokes around all the time although at times excessive. He has a deep need to want and feel accepted by others and tries very hard to be friends with most of his classmates especially Kojima Mizuiro.

Kojima Mizuiro (小島 水色)

Mizuiro is a friend of Ichigo and is seen haning around with Asano Keigo. Miziro has a tendency to date older women with his baby face looks and enjoys talking and text messaging with his cell phone.

Arisawa Tatsuki (有沢 竜貴)

Tatsuki is the best friend of Orihime. With a tomboy personality, she has looked after both Orihime after his brother has passed away and Ichigo when he was a child. Tatsuki is quite talented in martial arts and is ranked 2nd in Japan nationwide in a martial art competition.

Urahara Shop

Urahara Kisuke (浦原 喜助)

Urahara holds a very important role as the “advisor” for Ichigo and his friends. He was originally the captain of the 12th squad in Soul Society, however he was banished for doing dangerous experiments which Soul Society felt threatened. He is talented creator who runs a small spirit particle shop with Tessai, Jinta, and Ururu. His best works include Hougyoku which was unfortunately obtained by Aizen.

Shihoin Yoruichi (四楓院 夜一)

Yoruichi, like Byakuya has a background as a member of the noble family in Soul Society and a prior captain for squad number two. She has two forms of transformation one being a cat and another being human. She was first seen in assisting Ichigo during prior to his battle to Soul Society. Yoruichi is best known for her technique Shunpo and is referred as the “Goddess of speed”.

Tsumugiya Ururu (紬屋 雨)

Ururu displays herself as a very shy and timid individual. She current works in Urahara’s shop along with Jinta. However, during the presence of high spiritual particles she reacts by feeling the need to eliminate such presence which is perceived as a threat. She uses her gloved fists or a rocket like weapon as a primary form of attack.

Hanakari Jinta (花刈 ジン太)

Jinta works in Urahara’s shop alongside with Ururu. He is not seen too serious about his work and bullies Ururu to do most of his work for him. Although bullish with Ururu, he is very protective of her during times of trouble. He is seen to use an iron rod as a source of weapon and enjoys making fun of Renji.

Tsukabishi Tessai (握菱 テッサイ)

Tessai works with Jinata and Ururu in Urahara’s shop. He is extremely muscular and somehow always ended up wearing an apron. He is seen by Jinta and Ururu as intimidating and overpowering due to his muscular body. He is very experienced in various forms of demon arts.

Modified souls

Ririn (ã‚Šã‚Šã‚“)

In her gigai form, she is a small girl with short blonde hair. However when she’s not she is seen to live in a bird like doll. Although originally disliking Ichigo, she later has a crush on him. She has a very nervous personality and seems to look down on Kon a lot. Her ability includes manipulating the surroundings of her enemies to something of her choice.

Cloud (蔵人)

In his gigai form, he is a guy with a two-tone hair with mustache. However, when he’s not he is seen to live in a bunny looking doll. He seems to annoy others by usually talking too much. His ability includes duplicating or changing his looks to look like others.

Nova (之芭)

In his gigai form, he is a guy that is seen to be wearing a fury coat with a zippered mask. He is seen most often zipping up his mask when he feels embarrassed. When he’s not in his gigai form, he is seen to resignate in a turtle looking doll. He is the most deep thinker out of all the dolls as well as one of the most powerful. His ability includes teleporting or transferring others into a different dimension.

Kon (コン)

Kon is one of the main character from the modified souls who partners with Ichigo. He is probably in comparison the weakest modified soul and lives in a lion like doll most of the time. Like Keigo, he’s one of the most comical character throughout Bleach. He enjoys sleeping with Rukia when she stays over at Ichigo’s house and loves hanging around very attractive women. He have a superb amount of strength at his leg and it is also a primary attack method for him as well.

Soul Society

Division 1 Captain: Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryusai (山本 元柳斎 重國)

He is considered as the strongest of all the Gotei-13 captains and is the commander. He appears as an old man with long beard with many scars on his body. His power and contribution to the Soul Society have earned him a great respect.

Division 1 Lieutenant: Chojiro Sasakibe (雀部 長次郎)

Not much is known about this man, though he is a trusted subordinate of Captain Yamamoto. Chojiro’s zanpakuto is called Gonryomaru.

Division 2 Captain: Soifon (砕蜂)

Soifon is also the leader of the special forces unit. She prefers to stick to orders and laws of the Soul Society. She seems to have special ties with Yoruichi, the former leader of special forces.

Division 2 Lieutenant: Marechiyo Omaeda (大前田 希千代)

He is a large man with loud voice, and appears very arrogant but is a coward. He likes to eat Japanese rice crackers as he is seen carrying bags of them around.

Division 3 Captain: Formerly Gin Ichimaru

Division 3 Lieutenant: Izuru Kira (吉良 イヅル)

Kira is loyal to his duty and to his friends. He has friendship with Hinamori and Renji, from the Shinigami Academy days.

Division 4 Captain: Retsu Unohana (卯ノ花 烈)

She is the captain of the medical and supply relief division. Unohana is a soft-spoken, polite, and caring woman, and keeps her calm at all times.

Division 4 Lieutenant: Isane Kotetsu (虎徹 勇音)

Isane appears as a quiet, observant character. She is allowed to carry Captain Unohana’s zanpakutou. She is also the older sister of Kiyone Kotetsu.

Division 5 Captain: Formerly Sosuke Aizen

Division 5 Lieutenant: Momo Hinamori (雛森 桃)

She is the loyal lieutenant of Aizen, although betrayed by him to nearly death she continues believe in false hopes that he will change. She has strong friendship with 10th Division Captain, Hitsugaya.

Division 6 Captain: Byakuya Kuchiki (朽木 白哉)

Byakuya is the 28th head of the noble Kuchiki clan, one of the four noble families in Soul Society. As such, Byakuya acts in an aristocratic manner; he is always serene and apathetic towards others. He is considered as one of the strongest Shinigami captains.

Division 6 Lieutenant: Renji Abarai (阿散井 恋次)

Renji is the lieutenant under Byakuya and tends to be rebellious. He is one of the most unique characters by looks with a tattoo on his forehead. He has built an unique friendship with Ichigo overtime and has partnered with him on many events. He has a personality similar to Ichigo and is seen to have a crush on Rukia.

Division 7 Captain: Sajin Komamura (狛村 左陣)

Komamura is the captain of the 7th Division. He is an extremely large character who has a fox looking face behind his mask. He seems to be really conscious about his looks and was originally taken in by captain Yamamoto. He had strong ties with Tosen before Tosen chose the path with Aizen.

Division 7 Lieutenant: Tetsuzaemon Iba (射場 鉄左衛門)

Iba Tetsuzaemon is the lieutenant that serves Komamura in the 7th Division, and serves under Komamura Sajin. He has a very competitive nature and thus built a strong friendship with Ikkaku who also posses the same personality. He loves to drink sake.

Division 8 Captain: Shunsui Kyoraku (京楽 春水)

Kyouraku is the captain of the 8th Division. he is one of the two to wield a dual Soul Slayer in Soul Society. He is known as a flirt throughout Soul Society and has a very laid back personality. With his special cloak with flowers, he’s usually seen drinking and sleeping. Although powerful, he dislikes fighting and prefers talking his opponents out of combat.

Division 8 Lieutenant: Nanao Ise (伊勢 七緒)

Ise Nanao is the lieutenant of the 8th Division under Kyouraku Shunsui. With a semi attractive look, she gets hit on by even her own captain and she doesn’t like it. One of her duties involves pouring petals from the sky above her Captain during his grand “entrance.” She seems to carry a book with her all the time.

Division 9 Captain: Formerly Kaname Tosen

Division 9 Lieutenant: Shuhei Hisagi (檜佐木 修兵)

A previous lieutanant for Tosen, Hisagi has a tendency to avoid violence. Something that stood out from him is that he has the number 69 on his face. Similar to his prior Captain Tosen, Hisagi is quite virtuous and during the Arrancar series, he was then promoted as the new Captain of the 9th division.

Division 10 Captain: Toshiro Hitsugaya (日番谷 冬獅郎)

As the Captain of Division 10, Hitsugaya is the youngest Captain in comaprison with all of the other captains. He is usually very serious in his responsibility and attitude toward his role as a Captain. He is seen to be annoyed most often whenever people refers him in a different role other then “Captain”. He later on becomes a classmate of Ichigo for sometime.

Division 10 Lieutenant: Rangiku Matsumoto (松本 乱菊)

Rangiku is an attractive woman most known for nothing else but her “breast” which seems to be amplified throughout the anime numerous times. She has some past friendships with Gin while they were younger. She is not shy nor modest and enjoys sake with rest of the guys. Besides being lousy, she has a very caring side for others.

Division 11 Captain: Kenpachi Zaraki (更木 剣八)

As the Captain of the 11th Division, Zaraki Kenpachi is one of the most feared Captains within Soul Society. His Zanpakuto’s name is unknown at the moment because he doesn’t “communicate” with it. His both aggressive and overpowering personality makes him one of the favorites from the webmasters here at Videobleach. His fight with Ichigo made him and Ichigo has slowly built into a strong bond of respect with one another. He has killed the previous Captain of the squad to obtain his title at this time.

Division 11 Lieutenant: Yachiru Kusajishi (草鹿 八千流)

As the 11th squad lieutenant, Yachiru has known Zaraki Kenpachi since the murder of her family as a child. She enjoys playing with other members of both the 11th squad as well as others by giving them various nicknames. She has a personality that is both childlike and “cute”. We have yet to see her in full power at this time.

Division 11 Third seat: Madarame Ikkaku (斑目 一角)

As the third seat of the 11th squad Madarame Ikkaku is best described as violent, fight-loving, and rude. Although being a third seat on the 11th squad, he is one of the only third seater to achieve Bankai in skills although he hides it. He enjoys sake with Iba from the 7th squad and is best friends with Yumichika the fourth seat from the same squad.

Division 11 Fifth seat: Ayasegawa Yumichika (綾瀬川 弓親)

Yumichika is a complete narcissist who is best describes as someone who is in love with himself. He judges others based on his perception of beauty and decides to become a fifth seat instead of the fourth seat due to his thoughts of it being ugly. His best friend is Ikkaku from the same squad.

Division 12 Captain: Mayuri Kurotsuchi (涅 マユリ) and formerly Kisuke Urahara (浦原 喜助)

As the Captain of the 12th Division Mayuri is perhaps the most creepy looking Captain in comparison with the other captains. With a face covered with a skeletal and robotic like mask, he is known as an extreme mad scientist with a very cruel and unforgiving nature even to men of his own squad. He has some undisclosed ties with Quincy in the past from his research. His Bankai (Ashisogi Jizo 金色疋殺地蔵) means “the leg cutting God that watches over children and the underworld”.

Division 12 Lieutenant: Nemu Kurotsuchi (涅 ネム)

Nemu is the artificially created daughter of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, a combination of his research in artificial bodies. Although not fully human at this time, unlike her father Nemu seems to have more compassion towards others. She is seen to be able to withstand heavy injuries from her bodies in comparison with other humans.

Division 13 Jushiro Ukitake (浮竹 十四郎)

As the Captain of the 13th Division, Ukitake is espected by many, especially by his subordinates, for his honesty, loyalty, and personal sense of justice toward others in Soul Society. He is the only other man that carries a duel Soul Slayer in Soul Society besides Captain Shunsui. He is seen to be studious most of the time and carries some type of illness.

Division 13 Lieutenant: Formerly Kaien Shiba (志波 海燕) deceased, none currently

He was the former Lieutenant of Division 13 and has mentored Rukia. Rukia had a crush on him while he was alive. He was killed later by a hollow.

Division 13 Third Seat: Kiyone Kotetsu (虎徹 清音) and Sentarō Kotsubaki (小椿 仙太郎)

Both seems to be fighting for the attention of their Captain constantly and works hard on the day to day tasks for the sqaud after the death of Shiba.

Division 13 Unknown Seat: Kuchiki Rukia (朽木 ルキア)

Kuchiki Rukia is the main female character of the story. She grew up with Renji and has trained hard to become a Shinigami. She was introduced as one of the first Shinigami that Ichigo meets as well as the one transferring her powers to Ichigo making him a Shinigami “representative”. She is liked by many especially Renji who seems to have a crush on her. She displays herself as a tomboy but has a very sweet, tender, and caring side to her. She is cared deeply by the main character Ichigo which some suspect to like her.

Division 4, 7th Seat: Hanataro Yamada (山田 花太郎)

Hanataro is from 4th division, and is a timid, nervous character. Because of his kind nature, he is bullied by others, and made fun of all the time. He has a very interesting Zanputo with the looks of a medical knife. It delivers damage only when it is fully charged.

Vizards

Shinji Hirako (平子 真子)

Shinji is a vizard who recruits Ichigo to join the vizard group. He is a skilled fighter and also the leader of the vizards. He trains and helps Ichigo to use the hollow powers in their hideout before the battle of Hueco Mundo. He speaks Kansai-dialect and can be a funny guy.

Hiyori Sarugaki (猿柿 ひよ里)

Hiyori is a tiny girl with a fierce temper and violent tendencies. Her hair blond hair is worn in pigtails and wears a jersey that says “monkey”. Hiyori often abuses Shinji, usually by slapping him with one of her sandals.

Hachigen Ushoda (有昭田 鉢玄)

He is the largest vizard, and wears a tuxedo and has a skull and crossbones design in his pink hair. He is usually referred to as Hachi. He is a binding spell expert, and he claims that his powers are similar to Orihime Inoue’s, and he healed Tsubaki’s injuries.

Lisa Yadomaru (矢胴丸 リサ)

Lisa is a girl with glasses and long, braided, dark hair. She seems to be ambidextrous, initially wielding her zanpakuto with her left hand and then switching to her right during her fight with Ichigo.

Kensei Muguruma (六車 拳西)

Kensei is a teenager with short, light-gray hair and several piercing. In comparison with his fellow vizard, Kensei is a much more serious character.

Love (ç¾…æ­¦)

Love is a tall man sporting sunglasses, a spiked afro, and a jogging suit. He seems to be very laid back. He and Rose seem to be close friends.

Rose (ローズ)

Rose is an effeminate man with long, wavy, blond hair and a frilly shirt. He seems to be interested in music.

Mashiro (白)

Mashiro is a somewhat ditsy girl who wears a white bodysuit and goggles in her green hair.

Arrancars

Grimmjow Jeagerjaques (グリムジョー・ジャガージャック)

Grimmjow is blunt, rude, and quite sadistic, revealing an insane grin in battle, much like Kenpachi Zaraki. Grimmjow has little respect for authority and says whatever is on his mind. Grimmjow is the sixth Espada in Sosuke Aizen’s army of arrancar. He is also another Webmasters’ favorites because of his personality and of course looks!

Ulquiorra Schiffer (ウルキオラ・シファー)

Ulquiorra is a very cold and callous figure, and seems to be very analytical as well. He is very loyal to Aizen, as seen in his form of speech and actions. Ulquiorrra is the Cuatro Espada, or fourth Espada in Aizen’s army.

Sosuke Aizen (藍染 惣右介)

He is the former captain of the 5th Division and is now the leader of arrancars. He cunningly and coldly betrayed the Soul Society in order to persue his goal, along with Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tousen. Aizen leads a vast army of arrancars.

Gin Ichimaru (市丸 ギン)

Gin is the former captain of the 3rd Division and is now a comrad of Aizen. A sly smile is pasted on his face most of the time, making it difficult to understand his emotions and thoughts.

Kaname Tousen (東仙 要)

Kaname is the former captain of the 9th Division and now is a comrad of Aizen. Though a blind swordsman, he is a strong fighter and has a great sense of justice.

Yammy (ヤミー)

Yammy is a giant arrancar with brute strength and is very simple-minded. Yammy is the 10th Espada in Sosuke Aizen’s army

Misc

Shiba Ganju (志波 岩鷲)

Ganju is a weird and outrageous character in Soul Society. He is often found with his gang, who all ride large boars. He has became good friends with Ichigo and others during their invasion toward Soul Society. He is seen to help Ichigo and his friends from time to time. His best known tricks include the stone wave which turns objects, usually wall into sand.

Shiba Kukaku (志波 空鶴)

Kukaku is the older sister of Ganju. She is a hot tempered fireworks expert who is particularly known for her ridiculously themed houses. She has rather large breasts and wears a prosthetic right arm in the anime. She is quite skilled in kido and is a good friend of Yoruichi.
